Whose Sound is it Anyway? is a multi-channel, generative work created for the Sound Portal project in 2013.
The piece seeks to critically engage with issues around audio branding and as such all its material is derived from common tones found in consumer technology. The composition of the work employs generative and serial devices, where the rhythmic, timbral and pitch material of common audio logos infect each other. This piece contains various iterations of the above, here the process of contamination eventually results in a mutating cloud of tonal clusters.
