My practice is centered around the relationships between sound and social-space and my projects are generally focused on particular physical sites, or social issues, such as regeneration, inclusivity and noise. This work seeks to test the potential for sound to confront and explore issues, rather than simply representing or mitigating them, thereby reflecting the possibilities for new collaborations between artists and communities. Informed by a background in music-making Iām passionate about the importance of coming together to make things happen.
I am co-founder of Call & Response, one of the UK's only dedicated independent sound art spaces.
